Ever wondered what it looks like deep underground in a gold mine?
Jolandie and I had the awesome experience to shoot for AngloGold Ashanti at their Mponeng mine, which is the deepest mine in the world!
It extends over 4 kilometers below the surface and is one of the most substantial gold mines in the world.
These images where shot in the training level which is at about the 83rd level, but the conditions are pretty similar, although down in the actual working mine, it's allot darker, wetter and tougher.
Permission was granted for this level only, as interruptions to production and safety concerns could be kept to a minimum.
